Fly-In Remote Fishing · Sunset Country, Ontario
One float plane between you and water that has barely seen a lure. This is fly-in fishing the way the North intended - remote, unhurried, unforgettable.
Under new ownership Hosted by Dean & Tammy
The Camp
Tucked onto a secluded island on Rowan Lake near Nestor Falls, Wilderness Fishing Oasis is a stretch of wild, island-studded water most anglers only dream about. No roads lead here. No crowds, no jet skis - just glass-calm mornings, loon calls across the bay, and fish that fight like they’ve never been caught.
You arrive the only way you can: by float plane. Northwest Flying lifts you off the water at Nestor Falls and sets you down over endless spruce and blue. From the dock, the whole lake is yours - a maze of islands, reefs, weed bays and drop-offs that hold trophy fish all season long.

The Fishing
Rowan Lake is trophy country. Chase giant muskie in the weed bays, work rocky shorelines for hard-fighting smallmouth and largemouth bass, and drop deep for cold, powerful lake trout. Jig gold-flank walleye off the reefs - the spring bite is something special - and hang on when a northern pike crashes your topwater. Every island holds a new story.

Cold, deep and powerful. Spring and fall bring them shallow - and angry.

Pound-for-pound the hardest fighter in the lake. Rocky shorelines, all day long.

Bucketmouth bruisers that hammer a bait in the weed bays and lily pads.

Gold-flanked and table-perfect. Drop a jig on the reefs - the spring bite is outstanding.

Not the giants of the lake, but scrappy, plentiful and always willing - fast bonus action between muskie casts.
Cabins & Amenities
Comfort meets the wild. Choose from five cozy cabins - three with full private bathrooms, two with bathhouses nearby. Each sleeps 3 to 8 - right for a pair of buddies or the whole family.

From snug two-person retreats to a four-bedroom that sleeps eight. Three have private baths; two share spotless bathhouses with toilets and showers.

Full kitchens with modern appliances, cookware and a BBQ for grilling your catch - plus an indoor woodstove for chilly northern nights. All bedding and towels are provided; just bring your gear.

Step off your private deck and onto the lake. Boats wait at the dock in a sheltered bay, and the evening firepit burns while the loons call across the water.

The heart of camp. Wander up to the lodge each morning for hot coffee and a cooked breakfast - eggs, bacon, pancakes and fresh fruit - before the water calls you back out.
Breakfast Included
Every stay starts with a hot northern breakfast - eggs and bacon, French toast, pancakes and fresh fruit - so you are on the water early and ready for the bite. No daily housekeeping to wait on; we keep it simple so your mornings belong to the fish.

More Than the Fishing
Between the bites, the North puts on a show - northern lights over the lodge, red foxes at the inukshuk, and sunsets that stop the whole dock cold.

Catch of the Season
“A muskie longer than my leg, landed and back in the water inside a minute. That’s a Wilderness Fishing Oasis morning - and the reason I’ll be back next year.”
- Chris, 2025 season

Reviews
“I’ve fished three provinces. Nothing comes close to a sunrise on this lake - or the pike that ate my lure on the first cast.”
“The cabin was spotless, the boats ran perfectly, and my daughter’s first walleye is framed on our wall. We’re already booked for next year.”
“Fly in to water nobody else touches. It ruined every other fishing trip for me - in the best possible way.”
